Joan Bigham is Managing Director International at the Blockchain Research Institute (BRI) where she is responsible for promoting the global impact of BRI research around the world. She was formerly founding Managing Director of BRI responsible for program design, business development and delivery.
Over the past 20 years, Joan has managed and funded a dozen strategic research programs with Internet thought leader Don Tapscott and others, including landmark investigations of Information Technology & Competitive Advantage, E-Government, Sales and Marketing 2.0, The Net Generation Strategic Investigation and most recently, Global Solution Networks.
After working with dozens of global corporations on evolving internet strategy, her personal area of research is the successful transfer of strategic knowledge from external sources to large organizations; crossing the corporate boundary with new ideas.
Earlier in her career, Joan spent over a decade at Xerox Corporation in sales and marketing management positions, culminating in VP International Sales and Marketing for Xerox Computer Services.
Joan is a graduate of Vassar College, earned her MBA from Boston University and holds a doctoral degree in Organizational Learning and Leadership from Columbia University. Joan is a citizen of the United States and lives in both Mystic Connecticut and Buhwil Switzerland.
