Eric van der Kleij is the CEO of the Centre for Digital Revolution ( and a pioneering technology entrepreneur who founded FinTech company Adeptra (sold to FICO in 2012.) In February 2011 he helped create the strategy for the UK’s Tech City initiative, and was appointed by the UK Prime Minister as Chief Executive of the initiative and led the organisation he created for its first 18months. After that he created and led Level39 for the Canary Wharf Group, one of the largest Fintech, Cyber and Smart Cities hubs in Europe.

In 2016 he was appointed Chairman of the Advisory Group and Adviser for FinTech and Blockchain for the Global Entrepreneur Programme at the UK Government’s Department for International Trade. He and his company C4DR are also Special Adviser to clients such as the Swiss Kickstart Accelerator in Zurich. In 2017 he set up, a major new initiative and hub focussing on the key technologies of the 4th Industrial Revolution. He is a volunteer member of the Tech London Advocates Advisory Board.
