Pioneering Blockchain Education
The University of Nicosia (UNIC) was the world’s first university to accept Bitcoin for tuition payment (2013), to establish a full accredited academic program on blockchain (MSc in Digital Currency, 2014) and to publish the degrees of all its graduates on the blockchain (2017). It has now launched the Institute For the Future (IFF) to investigate how distributed ledgers will combine with AI, IoT and other exponential technologies to disrupt the economy and society.
